Forest Floor

Alice must be around here somewhere.

About as big as a breakfast sausage.

Hitchhikers are everywhere!
I saved its life, though, and put it back in the grass.
A little bit slimy.

So, I think those slug things are disgusting. That is all for now.

I think you should write a small poem about them. Ode to a Banana Slug. Something about love. Or sex ;-)

I get slugs in my garden. I don't know what kind they are; they're black and yellow, though. Charmi, I'm always amazed at how well you can ID creatures and plants. Heck, I didn't even know Banana slugs existed.

I'm a dirty, rotten cheater. They had pics all over the place of these guys. I had never heard of them two weeks ago. It's a big, wide world.

I love that thing! He's adorable! I want one as a pet.

His name would be 'Applesauce.'

Perhaps 'Chester Worthington Smith III'

And to think, I almost stepped on him, your future pet. I guess some of these guys are actually the size of bananas.

Banana slugs...that's such a perfect name. Perhaps I WILL write a poem about them. Something about food.

I also wonder what it would have felt like to step on it. Squishy, I bet, weird...I wonder what he would have looked like all squished.

Maybe that will go in the poem.
