Write Right Write

If you're the sort who keeps up with this kind of thing, the turnout at The Bucket last night for workshopping was wonderful. Ten people came and we workshopped seven poems! We endured the juke box. We ate and drank and smoked and laughed and talked about many things... And we even ended by 10:00! I'll post the new schedule shortly. While you're waiting with great anticipation, write something new!

Yes, indeed. I'll write more later and fill you in, but today I have to skip school because my work is so backed up.

That's funny. I skipped school because my sleep was so backed up. Last night was great, though.

By the time I work through this mess my sleep is going to be backed up, too! But now who am I going to get buzz on what happened in class? You must check with me first before randomly skipping ;-)

Oops, my bad. Of course, you might not want to hitch your attendance wagon to my star...I only do random skipping. :) It's bad, though...I always feel a little guilty. In high school, I LOVED skipping...I NEVER felt guilty. Sigh. I guess it's because now I'm not doing anything against the rules.

I was very good in high school. I only skipped once. My best friend and I spent a gorgeous spring day sunbathing in the nude on my back porch roof. Skipping school to work just doesn't quite have the same feel. Not at all. Of course, now days people would probably pay me not to sunbathe nude on my back porch roof.

HA. What a wonderful idea. I am absolutely positive that would lead to a great story. Charmi, you must do it.

I believe it would be a comedy.

Sounds like it was a great night, sorry I couldn't make it this time. Here's looking to November... :)

Yes, it was a great, Mark. I wish you could have been there. I looked around for you, since we were there until ten. Work! But November is just around the corner. How's the writing coming?

I've got a story started, not much in the way of poetry the last several days though, except for this little cantrip (and it's too tiny to workshop,so...):

away
in a manger
away from
my hands away with
her relatives
away across the
sands
a way, a cross
the sands

It's not too small to workshop! Have you seen how tiny my poems are?! And I like where this is going.

I like it, Mark. And a general question...are we only workshopping poetry? Or is fiction welcome as well? I just wondered, not that I've written any fiction. :)

Mark, I have a copy of P4 with two of your pieces in it! Whoa!

Rachel, fiction is fine - just keep it to one-two pages at a time.

Charmi! I love the picture!

Thanks, Talia. Sometimes it takes me forever to get around to things.
