Cygnus Olor


I noticed this guy/gal a few days ago at the park. He/she hangs out with a Canadian goose.

Thanks, Talia. I think it is perhaps a he that is guarding a nest. You can't see it in this picture, but there is a very large tangle of dead trees close by that he doesn't stray far from. Swans take about six weeks to hatch, so I'm going to keep watching.
