I take it you're walking? That's good. It's what you want to do and you're doing it.
We're not too much for pomp and circumstance over here. Gene said he'd pay me if I didn't make him sit there through that ;-) Since I handle the $$ I'm not sure what he's going to pay me with, however.
Yes I'm walking and I honestly don't understand why anyone wouldn't want to. Of course, I'm the first in my family to not only graduate college but high school also. Well, not really my mom got her GED and a certificate from Michinana College and my brother did get a diploma eventually via homeschooling (not the sort of home-schooling you do with your kids, however. But to us, this is a big deal.
Oh, yeah, I completely understand why people want to do it. It's a nice recognition of your hard work. My own mother, with her MBA, threw a hissy fit about my decision not to walk. I'm sure it will be a wonderful day for you, but I'll pass on this one.

Thanks Charmi. I sent those poems out in August and had not heard back from them, so I had given up and sent them elsewhere.
Hey, are you walking in the commencement ceremony in May?
Wow! That's a long time. I guess you just have to send those babies out and let them go! You inspired me, though. I sent out a couple things today.
Nope, I'm not walking in commencement.
but whyyyy? c'mon. Can't I change your mind?
