Rachel's Bread

I've found a possible location for the next writers' thing, if I can drag you people out of South Bend. Tom had a gig last night at Rachel's Bread, 212 W. Washington St., Goshen, and it is the place. It's next door to the farmer's market, organic, with good beer and good coffee and great food... They had hearth roasted salmon and greek pizza. So, the gist is I liked it, a lot. But I know, it's far, gas prices... We'll see. They only take cash, too, which is not such a bad thing. And, because Rachel wants a little break, she's going on vacation for two weeks, so they'll be closed during that time. This is definitely my kind of business. The pic above is (left to right) Spencer Short, Ben Petrie, Tom, and Eric Simpson, in all their Irish band glory.

Hi Charmi...sounds like a great place. I've heard good things about it. It would be great to have a place that serves coffee and beer. I am perfectly willing to travel to Goshen. Oh, and I started a blog; you were right, it was easy. I included a link to yours...I hope that's ok...I wasn't sure of the "netiquette" so I figured I'd ask.

My URL is confessor-rachel.blogspot.com. Hope you like it.

Glad you're up and running, Rachel. Everyone has their own netiquette. I'm not sure there are any rules. I haven't seen any, at least. Looks like you have a great start on your blog.

Thanks for joining us the other evening. If I can get just a few people to agree, we'll go to Rachel's sometime in August. I think Jennifer would like this place, too. The menu changes every day.

I appreciate being included. It was really nice to socialize with people who understand this particular insanity. :)

Goshen is fine with me...it's all about the same distance from here, anyway. I like Goshen, too. It's a neat town. There's a store there called "La Princesa" that I like to buy Mexican dresses (really cheap!) for Hadley.
