Ongoing Tunes

Talia took fantastic pictures of Chris last night at the zoo. There is something other wordly about her when she plays her fiddle. It's not the pure music that sends me; I'm not sure I always hear it. It's watching the players become consumed.

The kids, of course, were beautiful, too. They can hear the music and they have to dance. They just run out there. Kennedy's Kitchen threw away the set list so the kids could keep dancing. That's grace. Amen. I would tell you about the clouds and the trees, but you already know.

I wished I was there... Sorry I could not make it...

It was perfect weather. The lions strutted around for us too, and Hadley greeted them with her firecest growl. I love fiddling. Watching Chris makes me think about taking lessons.

Taking lessons?! I'm not that crazy!!

Every musician has a different personality up there. Watching Chris is serenity, I think. When I watch Sam Bush (a famous fiddler) play his fiddle I think of pure joy.

I can't. Thursday Evening is a bust for me. Work this summer has been rough. How about a Friday writer's thing? I'm off every Friday now through the 10th.

I've seen Chris play the fiddle before I knew who she was, and you're right, she does get that look of serenity.

Are you off the 10th? That would be two weeks and fall nicely into the schedule. We sure would like to see you.
