At Two

(Thanks for the help, everyone!)

Because you fall awake
at two with the dogs,
the stars, the absence
of the moon, the other, you

------------------------brood over

the lack of gravity,
the turning from,
the cavernous want
of turning to.

I just wrote my comments to this and stuck it in Kelcey's box...I think this is great. You're somewhat of a perfectionist with all of this.

Thanks, Talia.

I have some of your books to return, so I'll leave them in Kelcey's box. What do you think of meeting & workshopping at the Notre Dame bookstore on some of those Firddays you have to work? This week is a little soon to get everyone into gear for that, but perhaps next time?

Perfectionist, hah! Firddays? I've been working too long today!

I would strongly advise against coming anywhere near Notre Dame on a Friday, Saturdy, or Sunday of a game. You can barely see the carpet. However, when it is not a game weekend it is cozier than a library. It sure would be a sight however to see writers sitting around talking about poetry in the midst of all of that blue, gold, and green.
