oooh, that looks like a tomatillo! they're used in mexican cooking, mostly in salsa. they might smell kinda bad when you peel the husk and they will be a bit sticky. but they're tart and refreshing.
By Jesus, I think you've got it! I had no idea. Right now they're kind of hollow. But I looked up some examples and I think you're right. Gotta do some more research to find out how long it takes them to mature. Thanks!
