Down Came the Mind

where
the floor
spread empty

the
eyes showed a    gleam

an arsenal of jangling

terribly awake

                              the lights
the clatter of      wheels

                              but the

east and west were
morning

you saw
a voice
                              a
nickel watch

my limbs
